Hincks Avenue Children's Centre is a Department of Education & Children's Services Preschool.
We are located on Hincks Avenue and share a fence and some facilities with Hincks Avenue Primary School that operates as a separate service and caters for children from reception to year 7

Session Times
Children in South Australia are entitled to five sessions of preschool per week after they turn four years of age. Their preschool year is the twelve months prior to starting school.
At Hincks Avenue Children's Centre parents access these five sessions by having two full days and one half day session.
Pre-entry sessions are available in the term prior to starting kindergarten. Children can attend one session per week, either a Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
A lunchtime program operates for children attending all day Tuesday and Thursday.

At Hincks Avenue Children's Centre our purpose is to create healthy, active and socially responsible citizens. We do this by providing a high quality educational program that meets the needs of our children, their families and the wider community.
We have a strong focus on continual improvement for children's wellbeing and achievement.

Playgroup Information
At Hincks Avenue Children's Centre we run a Multicultural Playgroup on a Friday from 11.00am to 2.00pm.
We welcome all parents, family members and carers of children from birth to four years of age to attend our Playgroup.

Occasional Care
Occasional Care is available on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.00am to 11.45am. Our Occasional Care sessions are for children from 3 months of age and are held at Davison Street Occasional Care Centre.
